Multiple Management Servers provide redundancy and allow the management plane to scale.
Instead of:
Users
↓
Management Server
you can have:
┌── Management Server 1
Users/API ───┼── Management Server 2
└── Management Server 3
The Management Servers share the CloudStack database and coordinate with the infrastructure.
The important distinction is that adding Management Servers doesn’t mean you’re adding more compute capacity. You’re making the control plane more resilient/scalable.
